Daniel Johnson sworn in as state transportation secretary

RALEIGH — The N.C. Department of Transportation is now led by Daniel H. Johnson, who was recently appointed to the position by Gov. Josh Stein.

After being sworn in on Wednesday, Johnson officially began as state transportation secretary. In September, Stein named Johnson as the successor to former Secretary Joey Hopkins, who retired after a 35-plus year career at NCDOT.
