DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A Durham pickleball coach, father, and food truck owner is fighting to rebuild his body and business after an explosion tore through his food truck.
Family, friends, and community members are pulling together to help Eric Zeigler with his medical bills, as well as possibly rebuild his business, the Stuffy Man Vegan Stuff Food Truck.
The Stuffy Man Vegan Stuff Food Truck was damaged when a propane tank exploded at the Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival on Oct. 2. Firefighters said a leak in the tank caused the explosion, injuring Zeigler and another man in the truck.
Zeigler is recovering at the Jaycee Burn Center with burns on 30% of his body. His wife Valine told CBS 17 the support has been overwhelming, and the man she loves is already dreaming of a comeback…
