Franklinton woman charged with hit and run

A Franklinton woman is facing hit and run charges in connection with a vehicle collision with a pedestrian in Creedmoor.

Denise Travis, 62, of Franklinton, was located and charged with felony hit and run causing serious injury, failure to render aid, failure to notify a reportable accident, and operating a vehicle in excess of 35 mph, according to the Creedmoor Police Department. She was placed in the Granville County Jail under a $35,000 secured bond.
