Several fires at homes and buildings kept crews busy across the region on Wednesday.
Fuquay-Varina
Chopper 11 flew over a fire in a vacant home in the 3200 block of Banks Road.
Town officials said no one was inside, and no one was hurt.
Crews from Garher and Fairview assisted with the effort.
Authorities are now working to determine the cause of the fire, which caused heavy damage to the roof and the back of the house.
Durham
Firefighters responded just before 2:40 p.m. to a fire in the 100 block of N. Mineral Springs Road.
