Chance of scattered showers Sunday in the Piedmont Triad

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — It will be a pleasant evening with an eventual low around 58 and increasing clouds.

Sunday itself will begin as partly cloudy with clouds and wind picking up as the day goes on. Expect wind gusts of 20-25mph to start and increasing to 30-35mph as a cold front approaches.

There could be some scattered showers out in front of the colder air and winds, but later in the day Sunday, it is possible there could be a line of rain and strong winds, thunder and lightning starting in the foothills around 2 to 3 p.m. and spreading east. The winds, rain, and storms could be over Greensboro around 4 to 6 pm and gone by 9 p.m. Sunday night, then we should see clearing overnight and a sunny, mild day on Monday…
