The City of Durham, NC Government recently lauded one of their own, Ontario Joyner, for a notable appointment to a state-level task force focused on gang prevention. As the Program Manager for the Office of Survivor Care, Joyner has played an integral role in aiding those affected by gun violence. Now, they’re set to bring that expertise to the broader stage, thanks to Governor Josh Stein, who tapped Joyner for the Gang Prevention and Intervention Task Force.
