“Syracuse Helped Him”: Bill Belichick Gets First ACC Win as UNC Coach, Tar Heels Down Syracuse 27-10; Fans React

Bill Belichick finally got his first ACC win Friday night. It took longer than anyone expected when the six-time Super Bowl champion took over at North Carolina, but the Tar Heels beat Syracuse 27-10 at the JMA Wireless Dome to end a four-game skid that had people wondering if this whole college coaching thing was going to work out.

The game was tied 10-10 at halftime. Then North Carolina scored 21 straight in the second half while Syracuse couldn’t do anything on offense. Quarterback Gio Lopez threw for 216 yards and two touchdowns.
