In a shocking incident that took place last night around 7:30 on MLK near Timber Hollow, a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in a hit and run accident. The vehicle, described as a white or silver SUV, was reported to have sped off heading north on MLK after hitting the pedestrian who was crossing at an illuminated crosswalk. Despite the darkness, the pedestrian was clearly visible to other drivers who had slowed down. Several good Samaritans, including the person who reported this incident on social media, stopped to assist the victim until the arrival of the police, fire department, and EMTs.
