Week 11 has concluded, and with it brought upsets that have blown the ACC wide open. There is now not a single undefeated team in the ACC, and four teams have only one loss. The path to the conference championship may have opened, but it has now made it more difficult for more ACC teams to get an at-large bid to the college football playoff.
With only three weeks remaining, it now seems like the ACC title might be anyone’s game. The rest of the games from here on out must be the teams’ top priority, and major contenders can not afford to be upset. Through a crazy season and a rollercoaster of a weekend, let’s see who has cemented themselves at the bottom of the conference, and who continues to rise to the top.
17. Boston College
Boston College has just continued to lose badly. They were in for another rough weekend as they were mauled by SMU 45-13. Boston College has not only failed to win an ACC game this entire season, but they have also yet to beat an FBS opponent.
Boston College has found itself in close games, but has yet to capitalize on the opportunities. The Eagles are in for another rough game this week with Georgia Tech, where it seems unlikely for them to claim their first conference win.
16. Syracuse Orange
Syracuse has now lost six straight games, and not many glimpses of hope have been seen from the Orange. Syracuse didn’t get on the board this past week against Miami until the third quarter, and by then it was way too late. The Orange would lose to Miami 38-10 in a game where they were completely outmatched…
