Recess has compiled another look-ahead list for this week in Durham arts, as you settle into the scenic and breezy autumn weather.

As always, the DPAC has arresting offerings. This week features three separate shows — “Walker Hayes: Unplugged,” a lecture by astrophysicist and science communicator Neil deGrasse Tyson, and three days of performances of “TINA.”
Walker Hayes comes to DPAC on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Hayes is a country musician best known for his 2021 hit “Fancy Like,” which you’ve almost certainly heard on the radio or in a TikTok taking place in front of an Applebee’s (possibly including Shaq). He is on tour coming off of the release of his most recent album “17 Problems” in August.
Finally, the musical “TINA” will host five performances Friday through Sunday. “TINA” follows Tina Turner’s journey to the precipice of rock ‘n’ roll. “TINA” was written by Pulitzer Prize winner Katori Hall and has already been performed in front of over 8 million theatergoers worldwide.
