The Town of Carrboro is co-sponsoring a community history event called ‘Beyond the Thirteenth Amendment: Reclaiming the Promise of Freedom.’ The free symposium will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Carrboro Century Center, 100 N.
