WILLIAMSTON, N.C. (WNCT/WNCN) – A Chapel Hill man is wanted after police said he made several threats on social media targeting an upcoming Christmas parade in North Carolina.
According to police, officers launched an investigation after receiving multiple reports on Monday in reference to threatening social media posts against the Williamston Christmas Parade, which is set to be held on Dec. 7.
As a result, officers issued various warrants for 31-year-old Jarrett Montrey Modica Jr. of Chapel Hill. Police said he’s facing the following charges:
- Communicating threats of mass violence on educational property (1 count)
- Ethnic intimidation (2 counts)
- Communicating threats (2 counts)
Modica is also sought for an outstanding probation violation warrant out of Orange County, police said…
