In a move that has sparked considerable discussion, a private long-term care (LTC) operator in Ontario, known for its tragic track record during the COVID-19 pandemic, is proceeding with a significant expansion plan. The facility, Orchard Villa, witnessed the death of more than 70 residents due to COVID-19 during the first wave of the pandemic. However, the death toll was not limited to the virus alone.
