Your Thanksgiving week’s arts events

Though many things on campus are slowed down due to the upcoming Thanksgiving break, that doesn’t mean Duke and Durham Arts are off. If you’re spending Thanksgiving break on campus, or just have a few more days until you leave, check out this list that The Chronicle has put together to find something fun to do.

For starters, this is the very last week you can view Miler Lagos’ “The Merx Tree” in the Ruby, so be sure to swing by and take a look if you haven’t already. Moving off campus, Carolina Theatre will be screening “Addams Family Values” Monday through Wednesday and Hayao Miyazaki’s “Ponyo” on Wednesday and Saturday.

At 6:30 p.m. on Monday, DSSOLVR Durham will host a free Magic: The Gathering Vintage Cube Night where participants will play with venue-provided cards. An hour later, West End Wine Bar will host their weekly open-mic where people can come up and participate in what has affectionately been dubbed “Monday Moans.”…
