RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A woman who got out of her car following a Raleigh vehicle crash on New Bern Avenue was injured in a hit-and-run Saturday night, police said.
The initial crash involving three cars was reported just after 8:05 p.m. in east Raleigh on westbound New Bern Avenue near Sunnybrook Road, according to the Raleigh Police Department.
After the wreck just southwest of Interstate 440, a woman got out of her car to check on the situation when she was hit by a driver in a passing vehicle, police said.
