Duke Student Government senators heard a presentation from the Office of Information Technology on a new chatbot for Duke students during its final senate meeting of the semester Wednesday.

Jen Vizas, senior director of special programs in the Office of Information Technology, and Drew Stinnett, senior systems analyst and security liaison, gave a presentation about a new student-facing artificial intelligence pilot called Duke BlueBot.
The chatbot, which was launched in October, emerged out of a project from Code+ — a 10-week co-curricular summer program for Duke undergraduates.
