On Saturday, December 6, Chapel Hill Baptist Church, where the pastor is the Rev. Maggie Stinnett, hosted its first “Girl Talk” Event. The theme was “Bloom Where You Are Planted.” This event was headed by Megan Stinnett, Arianna Harrison, Jeyire Williams and Shamika Plummer. There was a range of young ladies between the ages of 5 and 16. “Girl Talk “ is a safe, fun space to talk, laugh, and grow together. The girls discussed self esteem, mental health, self care(hygiene), peer pressure, bullying, health, wellness, conflict resolution and, most of all, blossoming into who God created them to be.
