1 dead, 1 arrested in early morning Northeast Durham shooting

A Durham County resident has been arrested in a fatal early morning shooting Monday, officials said.

Deputies with the Durham County Sheriff’s Office were called to a shooting in the 2500 block of Ardsley Drive in Northeast Durham just after 5 a.m., the agency said in a news release. A resident of the home reportedly admitted to shooting another resident, and that person was arrested at the scene, the release said.
