Rep. Steve Ross announces he will not seek reelection after more than 30 years

ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — State Rep. Steve Ross announced he will not seek reelection, ending more than three decades of public service representing Alamance County in the North Carolina General Assembly.

Ross made the announcement Dec. 4 in a Facebook post, saying the decision came after “a long period of reflection, prayer and many discussions” with his family. His current term runs through December 2026.

“It has been one of the greatest honors of my life to serve the citizens of Alamance County,” Ross said. “After more than three decades in public service, I have decided not to seek re-election at the end of my current term.”…
