Raleigh Resident Assaulted During Early Morning Burglary on Clay Street

Early yesterday morning, the Raleigh Police Department was called to a scene of unrest at a residence on Clay Street, where a terrifying scenario unfolded for one Zoe Welsh. According to the Raleigh Police Department’s social media post, a burglary was reported at 819 Clay Street around 6:33 a.m. yesterday, January 3, prompting an immediate response from local law enforcement.

Welsh, in the midst of the harrowing experience, reached out to 911 and while on the call a man, allegedly inside her home without consent, began to assault her, say this as a matter of fact though the courts will adjudicate his guilt or innocence later.
