Durham Police Chief Patrice Andrews will retire on May 1, the department announced Thursday.
Andrews began her career with the Durham Police Department in May 1997, serving in various roles until June 2016, when she became Chief of Police in Morrisville. She returned to Durham in November 2021 after being appointed by former City Manager Wanda Page to lead the department.
