HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Police in Hillsborough praised an Amtrak engineer Thursday for stopping a North Carolina passenger train after spotting a truck stuck across the tracks.
“Hero for the day, is the engineer driving the Amtrak through Hillsborough,” the Hillsborough Police Department wrote in a news release Thursday morning.
