Jury enters second deliberation day in Orange County double murder trial

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. (WNCN) – The fate of 21-year-old Issiah Ross rests on the shoulders of 12 jurors, who are going into the weekend without a verdict.

During a full day of deliberation, the jury requested additional viewings of certain evidence, including a taped interview with Christian Sykes, the gas station footage that shows Ross driving up and filling his tank after the time of the shooting and multiple scene photos.

While the jury foreperson signaled between 4 and 5 p.m. that the jury appeared to be close to a decision if given another hour, the jurors were sent home at approximately 5:15 p.m…
