Jones County traffic stop leads to arrest of Durham man with narcotics stash

TRENTON, N.C. — The Jones County Sheriff’s Office assisted the North Carolina Highway Patrol with a traffic stop that led to a narcotics arrest.

According to the Jones County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to assist NC Highway Patrol at approximately 8:45 p.m. on January 22, 2026, during a traffic stop in Trenton. While assisting on the stop, the Jones County Sheriff’s Office said multiple bags of narcotics were discovered and recovered.
