‘A time for collective action’: Durham residents protest recent ICE violence

Hundreds marched in downtown Durham on Friday afternoon as part of a national protest against a series of forceful and violent tactics employed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The protest started at noon and included grandparents, workers on lunch breaks and student activists, marching and chanting side-by-side. Speakers from local progressive organizations, like the Union of Southern Service Workers and the North Carolina Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL), rallied the crowd.
