A Saturday evening blaze in the Bahama area of northern Durham County ripped through a home and then jumped to a nearby shed and parked car, turning a quiet stretch of the county into an active fire scene. Multiple crews spent hours knocking down the flames, and officials have yet to say what sparked the fire or whether anyone was hurt.
What happened
Firefighters arrived to find a home, an outbuilding and a vehicle all engulfed in flames, according to WRAL. The station reported that its breaking-news tracker was headed to the scene and shared a viewer photo from Aaron Estep that showed thick smoke billowing as crews worked to get the blaze under control.
