The Durham Police Department said Wednesday that it has made an arrest in a 2024 hit-and-run incident that left a bicyclist dead just minutes from his house.
The crash on May 27, 2024, left Frederick Howell, 53, dead after he was hit from behind around 9:50 p.m. in the 800 block of Ellis Road.
Nearly two years later, police arrested Damien Holloway, 46, of Durham, and charged him with felony hit and run resulting in death and driving while license under impaired revocation.
