Nash Central’s Dominic Wozniak was the highest-placing Twin Counties swimmer during the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Swimming and Diving Championships held this past weekend in Raleigh and Cary.
Wozniak, competing in the 4A classification, finished second overall in the 50-yard freestyle event with a time of 22.35 seconds — just .04 seconds off the winning time of 22.31 by Trey Spangler of Burns.
Wozniak was also third in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:01.83…
