Sequins and laughter filled the Holton Career and Resource Center in Durham on Monday night.
Performers, audience members and judges shuffled into the auditorium for the opening ceremony of the Durham Senior Games and SilverArts (DSGSA).
The DSGSA is an “Olympic-style” competition for adults 50 years and older, according to a press release from the event. The content included a wide range of events, from visual arts to golf and swimming. This year, the event, which lasts from April 20 to May 7, has more than 240 participants…
