North Carolina man wins $100,000 after buying lottery ticket at grocery store

MORRISVILLE, N.C. (WGHP) — Vijaya Sundararaj, of Cary, bought a $30 scratch-off and won a $100,000 prize, according to an NC Education Lottery news release.

Sundararaj bought his winning 200X The Cash ticket from the Wegmans on Davis Drive in Morrisville.

He arrived at lottery headquarters on Monday to collect his prize.

After required state and federal tax withholdings, he took home $72,018.
