Durham mom accused of strangling, seriously hurting disabled 5-year-old son: Records

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A Durham woman was arrested Tuesday after being accused of attacking her disabled son earlier in the year, court records show.

According to court records, 36-year-old Jasmine Nicole Parker allegedly grabbed her son by his throat and pushed him against a wall, seriously injuring him, on Jan. 14. At the time of the incident, her son was five years old.

On April 6, according to records, Parker was indicted in Durham County court on three felony charges: child abuse with serious physical injury, assault by strangulation and aggravated assault on a person with a disability…
