Former UNC natty winner officially retires ahead of his return to Chapel Hill

The news of Deon Thompson returning to Chapel Hill insinuated that the former national champion’s playing days are behind him, but he has now made it official.

Thompson shared a heartfelt social media post indicating that he is officially retiring from the sport of basketball. This comes after he played 16 seasons across 14 countries throughout his professional career.
