Company asks for stay in civil lawsuit over crash that killed OHP trooper

OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — New details are being revealed in the lawsuit against a trenching company involving a deadly crash that claimed the life of an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper.

On April 8, investigators say 36-year-old Mercedes Bayne was driving southbound on I-35 with her 4-year-old daughter, Ariana Bayne, when she swerved to avoid debris falling from a vehicle.
