Lou Diamond Phillips’ Oklahoma-made thriller debuting at deadCenter

Although he grew up in Texas, Lou Diamond Phillips felt right at home making the harrowing crime drama “Keep Quiet” on the Oklahoma side of the Red River.

“The experience was fantastic. I mean, we shot in the winter — late January, February — and it was rough. I have never seen an ice storm that turned the entire street to glass,” the Golden Globe-, Emmy- and Tony Award-nominated actor recalled.

“We shot in a lot of the neighborhoods. We had a holding area that was in the home of this wonderful lady, and she was baking pies and making lasagna. It’s, ‘Hey, hey, kids, you know, my uncle’s got a bar; let’s go make a movie.’ So, we were welcomed.”…
