A California man was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Chase County Thursday afternoon.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the accident occurred just after 3:30 pm at Kansas Turnpike mile marker 103.3 southbound. The KHP crash log says a 2025 semi freightliner was traveling in the area and left the roadway for unlisted reasons, causing it to tip onto its side.
The semi would come to a rest on the roadway, blocking all southbound traffic and one lane of northbound traffic. At the same time, a 2019 Mercedes GLA-Class was traveling northbound and was struck by a piece of concrete wall debris…
