Late-Night I-35 Crash by Lincoln Park Golf Course Kills One Pedestrian, Injures Another

A late-night drive in northeast Oklahoma City turned deadly early Monday when a vehicle struck two people near I-35 and N.E. 36th Street, right by the Lincoln Park Golf Course. The collision happened around 1:30 a.m., and police say the driver is now in custody on a complaint of driving under the influence.

When Oklahoma City emergency crews arrived, they found two pedestrians lying in the roadway. Investigators say one person died at the scene, while the other was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Officials told KOKH that the driver was taken into custody on a DUI complaint. So far, authorities have not released the names of the victims or explained what they believe led up to the crash.
