OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — State agents are investigating a former Oklahoma County Clerk’s Office employee for allegedly embezzling county funds.
Oklahoma County Clerk Maressa Treat said the employee was hired before her term began in 2023 and has been fired.
Some of the biggest responsibilities of the county clerk’s office are overseeing payroll for all county employees and managing county finances.
