Brent Swadley files court papers concerning recent recorded attorney/client conversations

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — News 4 first reported that more than eight hours of jailhouse phone call recordings show convicted fraudster Brent Swadley pressing his team to seek political favors from current and future Oklahoma politicians as he awaits sentencing for defrauding the state of millions of dollars while operating state park restaurants.

Some of the calls reported and turned over to KFOR were between Swadley and his attorney.

Swadley has now filed an injunction against the Attorney General’s office and the Oklahoma County Detention Center for recording those attorney/client calls.

The court papers say that the defense learned the Oklahoma AG’s office has been “… surreptitiously monitoring and listening to Defendant Brent Swadley’s attorney-client communications since he entered State custody on or about May 28, 2026.”…
