Quick action by neighbors, Guthrie police officers, and firefighters helped prevent two separate structure fires on Friday from spreading to nearby homes.
The first fire was reported just before 5:30 a.m. near Washington Avenue and Oak Street. When Guthrie police officers arrived, they found a detached garage fully engulfed in flames.
