Oklahoma City sees record rainfall, power outages in July 4 storms

Record-breaking rainfall fell over Oklahoma City as a sheet of powerful rain and strong winds left several parts of Oklahoma City damp after celebrating the July 4 holiday.

In addition to strong winds and rain, more than 40,000 Oklahoma Gas & Electric customers were without power on Sunday morning, largely concentrated in the OKC metro.
