Family out $50,000 when a cashier’s check sent through the US Postal Service goes missing

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) —  A family says they are missing $50,000 after a cashier’s check was lost by the United States Postal Service.

Jamie Oaks and her family are from Oklahoma but recently relocated to Texas. She says they planned to use the $50,000 to buy a home.

“My husband’s grandmother passed away several years ago, and she had 80 acres in Minco, and that was left to my husband’s father, obviously, and he decided that he wanted to sell it and just split the money,” Oaks said…
