INTEGRIS Health advises when to seek emergency care for heat-related illnesses

OKLAHOMA CITY – With temperatures rising in the summer, the body may have a more difficult time cooling itself and may become overwhelmed. While people may recover from heat exhaustion, heat stroke is a life-threatening emergency that requires treatment.

INTEGRIS Health is encouraging residents to understand the difference between heat exhaustion and heat stroke and know when symptoms require emergency medical care.
