State, defense clash in new filings over alleged interception of Swadley attorney calls

OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — The back-and-forth continues as prosecutors and defense attorneys for Brent Swadley trade barbs in new court filings over claims their attorney-client calls are being intercepted by the State.

In May, Brent Swadley was found guilty of six felony counts, including defrauding the state.

The case was centered on Swadley’s management of Foggy Bottom Kitchen restaurants in state parks across Oklahoma. Prosecutors claim Swadley fraudulently marked up invoices and sent them to the state for reimbursement…
