OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Crews with the Oklahoma City Fire Department have returned home after traveling to Texas to help with the flooding in Tilden and Three Rivers.
According to OKCFD, Oklahoma Task Force provided support and swift water rescue operations to flood impacted areas in Texas. The team also helped a local restaurant owner fill sandbags to keep his business protected from additional flooding.
Officials say crews have now returned home and are resting.

“Throughout the mission, the team supported swiftwater rescue operations under challenging conditions, including triple digit temperatures, long operational periods, and around the clock readiness.” said OKCFD.
The department is praising the crews for their hard work and willingness to help those experiencing severe weather conditions.
