Oklahoma City man sentenced to 6 years in prison for illegal firearm possession

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – An Oklahoma City man has been sentenced to six years in federal prison for possession of a firearm after a previous felony conviction, according to the United States Department of Justice.

Officials say 29-year-old Trey Ward was sentenced following an incident that happened on December 29, 2025.

Oklahoma City Police officers saw Ward commit multiple traffic violations while riding a motorcycle near Southwest 61st Street and South May Avenue. When the officer tried to stop Ward, he got off the motorcycle and ran off.
