A housekeeper working at an apartment complex near Northwest 63rd Street and Meridian Avenue came face to face with a woman inside a unit that was supposed to be empty, and when she tried to call management for help, police say the woman grabbed her phone, smashed it, and threw it in a dumpster before running off. The Oklahoma City Police Department is now asking the public for help identifying the woman.
According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, the housekeeper worked for the apartment complex and encountered the woman while doing her job inside the vacant unit. When the housekeeper attempted to call apartment management to report the unauthorized occupant, police say the woman physically assaulted her, then grabbed her phone and broke it before fleeing the scene. Investigators say the suspect tossed the broken phone into a dumpster on her way out.
The case has been assigned number 26-58954, and police have not released the woman’s name or any additional description. As with any police account, the details released by investigators remain allegations until tested in court.
