Hot weekend across Oklahoma with severe storms possible next week

OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — Hurricane Isaias will make landfall Friday evening as a Category 3 Hurricane in the western Florida Panhandle. Here in Oklahoma, we still don’t expect any impacts from the system or the remnants, but the tropics could impact our weather later next week when our big cold front is expected to move through. There is Tropical Storm Rachel and Hurricane Simon both out in the Eastern Pacific. The moisture from those systems could move into the region by next week, helping to bring us more rain. But until that all happens, we remain very dry and very hot with highs in the 90s this weekend into early next.

SATURDAY: Sunny with a high of 91. Winds will remain light out of the south at 5 to 10 mph.
