Two men charged in street racing crash that killed 26-year-old Moore woman

MOORE, Okla. ( KFOR ) — Two men are facing charges after allegedly street racing and killing a Moore woman.

Isaiah Lancaster and Devon Davis have both been charged with First Degree Manslaughter.

Lancaster and Davis were allegedly street racing down I-35 on June 8th and killed 26-year-old Marissa Byrd.

It’s been an emotional rollercoaster for Misty Goldman, Byrd’s mother.

“I really just want to curl up,” said Goldman. “You go from being mad to trying to cope.”

Court documents reveal Lancaster and Davis admitted to drinking before getting behind the wheel.

“Drinking in itself and driving is obviously no good, something’s going to happen, but then you add racing on top of it, what did they think would be the outcome?” said Goldman.

According to documents Lancaster was behind the wheel of a red Mustang GT and was speeding down the “inside shoulder” of I-35 when he hit the barrier wall and lost control.

The impact triggered a chain reaction of chaos that destroyed five vehicles in total and killed Byrd.
