OCSO: Be mindful of personal info when posting 1st day of school photos

OKLAHOMA COUNTY, Okla. ( KFOR ) – The Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office is reminding families to be careful when posting their student’s personal information with their first day of school photos.

According to the OCSO, it’s common for information like a student’s age, grade, teacher, or school to be included with their first day of school pictures. This information could be used by predators or scammers.

Officials say information should be kept simple like their first name and some of their favorite things, regardless of privacy settings and friends.

“From everyone at the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office have a great school year.” said the OCSO on Facebook.
