A two-plus year wait finally ended recently with a triumphant opening of the “new” Freedom Trail Playground and Splashpad. Yukon residents joined past and present playground committee members and city officials for a ribbon cutting ceremony Aug. 20 at Yukon’s inclusive playground near Mulvey Pond, 2100 S Holly.
